A tense and closely fought encounter between two evenly matched teams resulted in a narrow victory for the U11 White team against their opponents, Penshurst West Henriques. A mouthwatering clash opened the U13B season with the grand finalists from the previous season's U11B Competition battling against each other in an epic rematch. Batting first the BHE U13B's compiled a respectable 5/129 lead by newcomer to the club, Stephen, before a rapid start from Ramsgate RSL U13B Blue threatened to derail the match. Eventually some patience with lines and length from the bowlers and ably supported by the fielders resulted in a steady flow of wickets. The final score read: BHE U13B's 5/129 vs Ramsgate RSL U13 Blue 8/106. Congratulations on a first up victory. ✅✌️

Another keenly fought match between the BHE U11 Comp White and Mortdale Heights White resulted in an absorbing game of cricket. There were contributions from a number of players again with bat, ball and in the field. The final score read: BHE U11 Comp White 6/111 against Mortdale Heights White 5/83. Congratulations on a second consecutive victory (with an almost identical scoreline!) ✅✌️

Heading into their second match the BHE U11 Comp Blue team knew the first week was an aberration. Two evenly matched teams battled it out on Carss Park with the picturesque Kogarah Bay sparkling in the background. The final score read: BHE U11 Comp Blue 4/117 vs South Hurstville Carss Park 6/91. The BHE U13B's battled bravely to ensure their alarms did not sound for Round 2. They snoozed away dreamily and enjoyed a well deserved Saturday morning off.
